Meet Nick Peronace Dressage Rider

-Nick Peronace has been riding horses practically his entire life, and has over 30 years of experience.

-As a child, Nick won numerous championships in Hunter jumper divisions.

-During his teenage years Nick was a working student for Grand Prix competitor/trainer & friend, Lorinda Lende. Nick spent his summer vacations and any chance he could, working and living on the farm. Nick also received an excellent education in the horse's welfare by Lorinda.

-When Nick Peronace was only 17 years old he had already trained his first horse named Chevy, from being a Western Style Trail Horse, to Grand Prix Level Dressage. Nick was also successful in training Chevy Airs Above Ground, and would often ride him completely bitless.

-Nick has trained several other horses to the FEI Level, as well has started and worked with many young horses.

-Nick has been featured on the website Dressage Hub as a trainer

-Nick has won an ECRDA Year End Award at Training Level Dressage with a Draft Horse, a breed hardly intended for the show ring.

-Dressage At Devon has worked with Nick in hosting Chevy's Cup, a Memorial that was awarded for three years in a row, to the highest scoring non warmblood at Devon.

-Nick has only recently started competing at Dressage. His primary focus has always been in the "art" of dressage, and not so much the "sport". Lightness, suppleness, and self carriage, are hallmarks in Nick's training method.
In his own words:  "It's not that you can get the best Piaffe in the world or the best Half Pass. What truly matters is how light you can ride, and through gymnastic exercise and deep riding, how supple your horse the partner can truly become".

-Nick Peronace has currently competed up to 4th level dressage, with aspirations to compete at FEI & Grand Prix.

For the past 30 plus years of riding, Nick has worked with offspring sired by the world's very best. He has worked with green horses and young horses, and has also specialized in problem horses. Nick believes in patience and steadiness, while relieving the horse of stiffness to produce a happy and willing partner.
